Srinagar: Kashmir Economic Alliance held a protest in Srinagar to express solidarity with the Muslims who were targeted by the terrorists in two mosques of New Zealand.
Demonstrators raised slogans against the attackers and demanded justice and safety of Muslims around the world. “Our sympathies are with the families who were targeted in the deadly attack”, Said Farooq Ahmad Dar Kashmir Economic Alliance Co-chairman.
In the worst attack on Muslims in a western country, at least 49 people were killed in attacks on the Al Noor Mosque in central Christchurch and the Linwood Mosque in New Zealand.
Later three people, including an Australian were immediately taken into custody after the massacre while of them is charged with murder. The Australian-born suspect has published a manifesto praising US President Donald Trump and Anders Breivik, the Norwegian white supremacist who murdered 77 people in Norway in 2011.
