New York, June 18: Pakistani-born American Faisal Shahzad has been indicted on 10 counts, including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, in New York’s Times Square bombing bid.
He was indicted by a federal grand jury at a US district court in Manhattan Thursday, reported.
Shahzad allegedly tried to detonate a car bomb in Times Square May 1. He faces life in prison if convicted.
Shahzad, who became a US citizen in 2009, received explosives training in Pakistan from trainers affiliated with terror group Tehreek-e-Taliban, the indictment alleged.
