‘New York’ songs are hummable

New Delhi, July 19: After a brief lull, the films are back in theatres with their songs and whatever their fate out of the Box Office have good music and songs.

The music of “New York,” the latest offering from the YRF Music stable, is full of youthfulness, keeping in tandem with the film’s theme.

Pritam manages a decent effort with his fleet of singers KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Mohit Chauhan, Pankaj Awasthi and Caralisa Monteiro, and Sandeep Srivastava and Junaid Wasi as lyricists.

Pritam tries to keep it brief in this album eight tracks in total with six originals and two remixes. Of the six two are instrumental pieces.

The album starts with ‘Hai junoon,’ a pacey and upbeat number with the acoustic guitar used to good effect. The core element of the film is friendship and it is summarised well in this song sung by KK.
