New York: NYPD arrests one suspect in connection with explosion

New York: One male suspect has been apprehended by the New York Police Department for his alleged connections with the explosion carried out at New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal which is close to the Times Square.

All important subway stations have been reportedly shutdown after the explosion sources revealed. Four persons were injured in the explosion while no casualties have been reported.

The NYPD has not yet confirmed the explosion was a terror attack or an accident but the Police are investigating the case now.

NYPD has tweeted a single line advisory for the city commuters which read as “The NYPD is responding to reports of an explosion of unknown origin at 42nd Street and 8th Ave, #Manhattan. The A, C and E line is being evacuated at this time. Info is preliminary, more when available.”

All the subway services through the iconic Times square are currently shut down and restricted. The NYPD’s bureau chief has informed everyone requesting everyone to avoid the incident area.

The New York Times has reported that the Port Authority Bus Terminus has been evacuated.

While Sarah Huckabee Sanders White House spokesperson has tweeted US President Trump has been briefed about the explosion.
