New Year bash,Guidelines issued by Cyberabad police

While wishing the people of Cyberabad Metropolitan area a very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2013, Cyberabad Police has appealed to the citizens to follow certain guidelines and restrictions during the celebrations.

The organizers of various events/celebrations at public places should obtain police permission for use of loud speaker/music system. However, use of DJ is not permitted. The program should be organized up to 1 am only.
Display of nude dances/acts/films, obscene gestures and so on are strictly prohibited. No obscene posters, nude/semi-nude advertisements in daily news papers or on hoardings or in any media shall be used in the marketing of the event. Special Team headed by senior police officers will be constituted preventing use of drugs during such events.

Liquor shall not be served without any valid license/permission by the competent authority i.e., excise department. Organizers are advised to get temporary license if there do not hold a license. The Management should engage sufficient Private Security Personnel for security and Traffic Management to regulate the Traffic inside and outside the venue.

No visitors/vehicle should be allowed inside without thorough checking. The organizers should ensure parking of all vehicles inside the premises of the venue only. They should not allow parking on the roads used by general public, failing which heavy penalties would be imposed on the organizers/licensee. Adequate lighting and seating arrangements shall be made. Burning of crackers is strictly prohibited. Smoke extinguishers and water should be arranged to prevent fire accidents. There should not be any dangerous display or exhibition, which is likely to cause danger or loss to the public.

Use of Fire Arms is strictly prohibited in the parties. No person shall be allowed to bring weapon in such places, even if he has valid arms license. Adequate arrangements for toilets and other hygienic requirements shall be made. No activities falling under the AP Gaming Act 1974 shall be organized.

The Cyberabad police have advised the people not to resort to drunken driving because it may pose serious threat to the life of individual/s in the vehicle and on the other road users. In this regard, massive vehicle checking will be carried out on the ORR and other highways for drunken driving and to impose speed limits. The event organizers at public places may advise the participants accordingly.

People are advised to pool vehicle to attend New Year Celebrations. ORR will remain closed from 11 pm to 5 am for general public except bonafide passengers/ going to /coming from RGIA Airport. All flyovers will remain closed from 11 pm to 5 am. PVR Express Way will remain closed from 11 pm to 5 am. Public Address System should be kept at a low volume and the speakers should be placed in a manner that people outside the venue are not affected. The organizers should use only box type speakers.
