Hyderabad district Collector Rizvi on Thursday said setting up of small scale industries would give bright chances to the entrepreneurs and enable the unemployed youth to get gainful employment.
Participating in the district-level industries committee meeting in the Collectorate, Rizvi suggested to the entrepreneurs to set up their units in the industrial estates. He said if the units were set up in residential areas they would cause air pollution and severe hardships to the residents due to the industrial effluents emanating from the units. He asked the prospective entrepreneurs to keep these fact in mind while setting up units.
Stating that only 13 units were accorded permission out of 31 projects proposed in the PMEGP program 2012-13, the Collector directed the District Industries Officer to take up the issue of the remaining units with the banks concerned. Rizvi also advised the Lead Bank Manager to scrutinize all the applications received for setting up of new industries and see that they are grounded at the earliest.
District Industries Centre general manager G. Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes A Sudhakar Reddy, APSFC senior bank manager J. Krishnaiah, Social Welfare DD Vijaypal, APPCB engineer Jyotsna and others were present. (NSS)
