Prof. S.A. Shukoor took charge as Managing Director of Minorities Finance Corporation and reviewed the schemes of the corporation. It was noticed that Muslim mass marriage scheme has not been implemented for the past few years. It was decided to implement it this year. Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel had also conducted a meeting to review these schemes. It was decided to implement all the welfare schemes for the Minorities to ensure utilization of the allotted budget for Minorities.
Mr. Shukoor told that to increase the number of applications for scholarships, a massive campaign would be launched. This year only 1, 85, 000 applications have been received. Under fees reimbursement scheme only 1, 44, 773 applications have been received. So far, 1, 55, 023 applications have been disposed off. A massive campaign will be started in educational institutions to receive large number of applications from the students.
