The TRS Government will soon make a new Panchayat Raj Act to strengthen the villages, Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today said.
The minister inaugurated 20 double-bedroom houses in Nijalapur under Musapet mandal in Mahabubnagar district along with MLA Srinivas Goud and A Venkateshwar Reddy. He appealed to the people to compare works done during previous government and now and support the TRS Government for more welfare and development. The previous governments neglected Telangana development, he alleged.
Laying foundation stone for 70 more units of double bedroom houses, he said a primary health center will be sanctioned to the village. The State government was fulfilling its promises to provide permanent shelter to the people by providing double bedroom facility, water, roads, power and toilets, he said, adding that the government was committed to keep its promises to the people. “We have achieved Telangana statehood and will provide all facilities to the people”, he said.
The government plans to strengthen the villages in all districts by bringing in a new Act for Panchayat Raj, he said. Like nowhere in the country, Telangana government was implementing several welfare and development schemes, the minister said and slammed the Opposition for creating hurdles to developmental works. He also took serious exception to the Congress leaders’ vilification campaign against the housing scheme, projects and welfare programs.
MLA Srinivas Goud said the Opposition was moving court against the projects and housing scheme as they were unable to digest the monumental development and unprecedented welfare schemes in the State. Venkateshwar Reddy said a total of 780 houses were sanctioned to his Devarkadra segment. (NSS)
