New Panasonic Eluga I2 smartphone beats previous model by miles

New Delhi: Panasonic India has launched 2GB and 3GB RAM variants of its successful 4G LTE smartphone “ELUGA I2” with improved camera optics which beats the previous model (1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, 2-MP front camera) in specifications by miles.

The new variants now have 16GB internal memory which is double of what was offered in previous model of I2 and are expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card.

ELUGA I2 with 2GB RAM is available for Rs.7,990 and 3GB variant at Rs.8,990. ELUGA I2 was launched with 1GB RAM originally.

ELUGA I2 comes with 5-inch HD IPS display, packs 1GHz quad-core processor and weighs 132 grams.

On the camera front, ELUGA I2 has been updated to 5MP front camera from the 2MP front camera on the previous model, along with 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash.

The dual SIM device supports 4G VoLTE (voice over LTE), WiFi, hotspot and Bluetooth.

The ELUGA I2 runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system paired with Panasonic “Fit Home” user interface for single-hand operation with quick access to the applications.

“ELUGA I2” is powered by a 2000 mAh battery with optimised power management software ensuring longer operation.

The ELUGA I2, however, will face tough competition from Coolpad Note 3 Lite which packs a higher processor, 13MP rear camera, a brilliant finger-print sensor and is a great choice for users who are looking for budget devices.
