New mosque centres in Sharjah for memorising Holy Quran

Sharjah, May 10: Now it has become easier and closer for students of all ages to find a more spacious and convenient place for memorising the Holy Quran. Special areas have been designated
for the purpose at three mosques in
the city by the Holy Quran and Sunnah Foundation.

“The new complexes shall be fully independent, and directly supervised by the foundation,” said Hamada Matter Taryam, manager of the Foundation. Taryam said the initiative is aimed at attracting more people, particularly at the grand masjids in areas that are densely populated.

“As many as 350 students, male and female, are now enrolled in the three complexes which provide them with a more convenient environment for memorising the Holy Quran.”

Taryam said, “The first Quran complex is at Abu Al Hassan Al Ashari Masjid at Ghafiya area, and that comprises 10 classes with 170 students.”

“The second complex is at Al Redwan Masjid at Al Qaraen area, and that comprises five classes with 100 students while the third complex is at Shaikh Saud Al Qasimi Mosque at Al Shahbaa area, and that comprises six classes with 80 students.”

Moreover, Taryam said the foundation is now working on three aspects to ensure the project’s success.

“We are doing our best to provide the three complexes with competent Quran teachers in terms of memorisation and recitation,” he said. “We are also publicising the project to attract new learners and open new classes. Permanent supervisors are also to be hired at the three masques and will develop the classes and open new sessions for young kids of 4-6 years old.” Only 12 students will be enrolled in each class, he added.
