New lease of life for Kurnool victims

Hyderabad, November 19 (Siasat News): The welfare work of Siasat’s team is still going on in Kurnool where the victims of floods are deprived of the basic amenities as they spent a hell of the time during last one month.

Siasat is playing a vital role is rehabilitation and the reconstruction of Muslim colonies on war footing. And the untiring efforts of Siasat’s team will never be forgotten.

Yesterday, the relief material was supplied to the victims by staging a low-key programme where Mr. Amer Ali Khan, news editor Siasat also present as a chief guest. The irony of the floods was that even 39 Muslim advocates became helpless as they lost everything.

Siasat took this opportunity very sincerely and helped lawyers starting their professional lives afresh and assembled all these lawyers under the banner of a forum.

A co-ordination meeting of the Muslim advocates forum was conducted in this connection, which was presided over by Mr. Ali Sahab, forum’s president. Mr. Amer Ali Khan presented a cheque of Rs. 1,00,000 on behalf of Siasat relief millat fund to the forum. On this occasion, the law books donated by the generous people of the society were also handed over to the forum.

In his speech, Mr. Amer Ali Khan said that even India’s freedom movement was started by a lawyer.

His indication was towards Mahatma Gandhi, who himself was a renowned lawyer. Mr. Amer Ali Khan also narrated his own agonies when he was indicted in false case for which he used to go to the courts as when the date was there.

During his harrowing experience, he was always sad to see the burqa-clad Muslim women in the court, most of whom were falsely indicted in some or the other cases like him.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of local leader Mr. Abdul Jabbar whereas volunteers of Siasat M/s Faheem Ansari, Anwar Sultan and Saleem Basha were also present.
