The Andha Pradesh Government will implement a new health scheme for its employees to facilitate cashless treatment for them and their family members from November 1 this year.
Health Cards would be issued to them under the scheme. The cut off date for furnishing the particulars of their family members would be October 20. Chief Minister N.Kirankumar Reddy, who held a review meeting on Rajiv Aarogyasri Scheme with the officials here today, said the scheme should be implemented in a most transparent manner in consultation with the employees, according to an official release here. A Committee headed by the Chief Secretary will oversee the implementation of the scheme by the Aarogyasri Health Care Trust. Over 8 lakh employees and 6 lakh pensioners would be covered under the new health scheme, the Chief Minister said.
The total expenditure will be Rs.350 crore per annuam. The preparation of packages and prices will be done by the Trust, the release said. UNI
