New Hajj House Foundation in 10 days-Minister

A.P. Wakf Board has earmarked the land for new State Hajj House. The foundation stone laying ceremony will be held within 10 days. The construction work of the new Hajj house would be taken up on war footings. Keeping in view the convenience of the Hajj pilgrims, the office of the State Hajj Committee will be retained in the old Hajj house only.

Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah, Minister of Minorities Welfare disclosed it in a press conference after the meeting of the Hajj Coordination Committee held here two days back.

He told that the departures of Hajj pilgrims would start on 6th October. The concerned departments have already been given necessary instructions for making arrangements for the Hajj pilgrims.

Mr. Ahmedullah wished the Chairman of Wakf Board Maulana Syed Afzal Biyabani to get the road adjacent to Hajj House repaired so that the Hajj pilgrims do not experience any incontinence.

The meeting was attended by Maulana Syed Afzal Biyabani, Chairman of Wakf Board, Mr. Syed Khaleeluddin, Chairman State Hajj Committee, Maulana Khaleel Ahmed of Jamia Nizamia, Dr. Syed Shakir Husain (IRS), CEO of Central Hajj Committee at Mumbai, Mr. Anurag Sharma IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, Mr. Mastan Wali, MLA and Chairman of Assembly Committee on Minority Affairs, Mr. Zakaullah Siddiqui, Managing Director of Saudi Airlines, Mr. Shafaat Ahmed Osmani (IRS) Additional Commissioner of Customs, Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hameed, CEO of State Hajj Committee, Mr. Raza Husain Azad, Mr. Mahmood Husain, engineer, Mr. Habeebuddin, Ms. Malika Begum, Mr. Mahboob Shareef, Mr. M.M. Baig (members of Hajj Committee) and other officials.

The minister informed that 26 flights will be operated from 6th to 19th October to carry 7356 Hajj Pilgrims. 1144 Hajj pilgrims of Karnataka who have opted to go from Hyderabad will also go from Hyderabad Airport.

The minister told that the adjacent marriage hall has also been taken to accommodate Hajj pilgrims
