Mr. Ahmedullah, Minister for Minorities Welfare, told that the Hajj pilgrims would be provided all the facilities. Hajj camp would start from 23rd September. Flights would start on 25th September. He told that he would consult the C.M. for the formation of Adhoc Hajj Committee since the term of present Hajj Committee ended on 15th August 2013. Mr. M.A. Hameed is supervising the arrangements of Hajj Camp. It is proposed to appoint Adhoc Hajj Committee for the present season.
Sources close to C.M. indicated that Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Ahmed Nadeem has already recommended to the Govt. for making arrangements for the present Hajj Season since the term of Office of the present Hajj Committee expired. He suggested for the formation of the new committee or the appointment of an Adhoc Committee for the interim period. It is understood that Minister of Minorities Welfare has suggested four names for the committee. All these names are of Congress leaders. One of them is a member of former Hajj Committee.
Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman of A.P. State Minorities Commission has recommended to the Govt. to form a committee under his chairmanship for making arrangements for this Hajj season. He sent a letter to C.M. in which he suggested his own name as the convener of the committee. The other names he suggested are Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbeer, MLC, Mr. Peer Shabbeer Ahmed, MLC, Mr. Farooq Hussain, MLC, Mr. Shaik Hussain, Mr. Mastaan Wali and Mr. Shahjahan Basha (MLAs). C.M. has sent this letter to Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare for taking necessary action. It is understood that C.M. will take final decision in consultation with the Minister and Secretary of Minorities Welfare.
