New fitness routine `prancercise` mimics dancing like a horse

Washington, May 31 (ANI): A new workout routine called ‘prancercise’ has taken the Internet by storm.

The creator of the workout, Johanna Rohrback, described the routine as “a springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse’s gait and is ideally induced by elation.”

Various videos uploaded on YouTube show Rohrback working out at different speeds – including the Prancercise walk, trot and gallop.

Rohrbach said that a person just needs a couple of ankle weights and some music start the routine but for the more intense Prancercise box, they can strap ankle weights to their wrists and punch into the air while prancing, Fox News reported.

She tried to introduce this odd routine back in 1989, but it failed. Looking to revive it, she published a book titled ‘Prancercise: The Art of Physical and Spiritual Excellence,’ along with the series of YouTube videos. (ANI)
