State Govt. will finalize new excise policy very soon. It will be implemented from 1st July 2012. State Govt. lost its credibility on account of liquour syndicate and its mafia. In order to regain its lost respect, Govt. has decided to formulate new excise policy as early as possible.
Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, CM of AP has constituted a sub committee consisting of five ministers. Meanwhile Mr. V. Venkata Ramana was arrested by CBI and resigned as minister of excise. At present he is in jail. His portfolio was allotted to Mr. K. Parthasarathy, Minister of Higher Education. He disclosed this while talking to newsmen in secretariat yesterday.
