Govt. of A.P. has finalized the new excise policy of the State. It is expected that a notification would be issued in two or three days. A review meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M. of A.P.Mr. K.Parthasarathi, Incharge Minister of Excise, officials of the department and finance attended this meeting.
Talking to Newsmen Mr. Parthasarathi told that C.M. has reviewed the excise policy of the State in detail and he also consulted the officials after these deliberations, C.M. finalized the excise policy. He told that this policy would be acceptable to public. He informed that there wont be any heavy financial burden on people. He rejected the complaints about the existence of belt shops in the State. If there is any such belt shop in the State he would take action. The minister informed that Govt. earns Rs.10,000 crore from excise. The new excise policy will generated an income of Rs.12, 0000 croe.
