New android Mobile App for security of MMTS users

To ensure the safety of passengers of MMTS in twin cities, the MMTS services have launched an App ‘Railway Interactive Security Solution for Traveller Assistance (RISSTA)’ meant to provide security on finger tips. The re-modelled Lingampalli railway station building (`1.50 crore) was also inaugurated.

PK Srivastava, SCR General Manager, launched the App along with A Gandhi, Serilingampalli MLA and MLC N Ramchander Rao at Lingampalli Railway Station near here.

The App is available only on android platform. One has to go to Google play store and search for RISSTA, download and install signup and verify your mobile number. On starting the journey, passengers may fill train no, coach category (general, ladies, physically handicapped) and direction through a drop down menu.

“Having faced insecure condition, an insecure passenger can press help button and then select the travelling coach position so that security can reach to the passenger”, said Manager.

The complaint will be received by RPF Control Room. It alerts the security present at the MMTS
Speaking to media, Srivastava said that MMTS train services were of vital importance to meet the transport needs of Hyderabad and Secunderbad. Over 1.20 lakh passengers travel in MMTS services daily.

Later, he inspected the passenger amenities at Lingampalli railway station. He spoke on the measures being undertaken to upgrade the standards of MMTS railway stations including passenger amenities etc. Earlier, he travelled by MMTS train from Secunderabad to Lingampalli and interacted with passengers.
