Nepal national arrested in Hyderabad for stealing Rs 20 lakh

Hyderabad, February 02: City police today arrested a 21-year-old Nepali national who allegedly decamped with Rs 20 lakh from a pharma company in Secunderabad here and claimed to have solved the case in less than 10 hours.

Thakur Santosh Bahadur, who allegedly stole Rs 20 lakh from the office of a pharma company yesterday morning, was arrested from the Nampally Railway station last evening and Rs 19.99 lakh was recovered from him, Additional Commissioner of Police (Coordination) A R Anuradha told reporters here.

CCTV footage installed in the office revealed that Bahadur, a staff member, had entered the office and took away the cash at 8.53 am. Ramgopalpet police formed six teams and nabbed Bahadur from the railway station at about 7pm, she explained.
