In Chennai, school students collected immediate requirements like
medicines, blankets and food material from shopkeepers to send to the neighbouring country, reeling from one of the worst earthquakes in its history.

“We are collecting things. We are going for rally and we are going to collect some things and we are going to send it to the place where the calamity has struck and we are going to help them,” said student

The school principal, Nigar Akthar, said the relief material would be airlifted to New Delhi and later distributed in the earthquake-hit
areas.
“Today we are motivating the people to help and we are also using the children and giving them the proper education by making them aware of the calamities and their part in helping the people,” said Akthar.
