Neelima’s death mystery continues: investigations underway

Dismissing the media reports that they had arrested three IT employees, Cyberabad Deputy Commissioner of Police Yoganand today said the investigation over the death of software employee Neelima on July 31, at Infosys campus located at Hitec-city in the city was underway. Talking to the media here, Mr Yoganand said police got visuals of Neelima on the day of her death, through the CCTV cameras in the Infosys campus where she was found dead. We are conducting the investigation on the basis of information from her telephone, the DCP said no one was so far arrested and stated that 27-year-old Neelima had made a phone call to someone at around 2130 hours and said the police were trying to identify the person to whom she made that last phone call. He said as Nelima’s cell phone was sent to the showroom as it was locked. The DGP said Neelima had gone to the 18-19 floor of the building of the complex at around 2100 hours and went to the multi-level car parking building at 2136 hours. He said security guard Ramesh was the first to notice that she had fallen down from the building and three of the company’s employees had rushed her to hospital in an ambulance. She was however declared brought dead. The DCP said one of the footwear of Neelima was found on the seventh floor and the second along with her body. On the basis of the finding, the DCP said police were of the view that she might have fallen down from the seventh floor. She did not sustain any injuries as she had fallen on grass bed, the DCP said Neelima’s family members were informed on the basis of a chit found in her bag which was found on the tenth floor. The DCP has dismissed media reports that doctors who had performed post-mortem had videographed the procedure. Stating that polce had not yet received post-mortem report and it would be able to give more information after receiving the postmortem and medical reports, the DCP added. UNI
