New Delhi: A function was held in New Delhi to release the book ‘Zindagi Zara Ahista Chal’ written by former CPI MP Mr. Mohammed Adeeb. Former Vice President, Mr. Hamid Ansari released the book.
Mr. Ahmed Patel, Political Advisor of UPA Chairperson and Treasurer of AICC Mr. Ahmed Patel told that this is not the time to become a leader but the time has now come to walk side by side with the Muslims. This is what a good Muslim would do.
Almost all the speakers told that 80% of the Hindus in India are secular and they love the Muslims. Another important point which was mentioned was that the parties which call themselves secure are engaged in protecting themselves, they are not bothered about the country.
The function was attended by former Lt. Governor of Delhi, Mr. Najeeb Jung, former CM of J&K, Mr. Farooq Abdullah, Former Minister, Mr. Salman Khursheed, Former VC of JMI, Mr. Syed Shahid Mehdi, Prof. Akhtarul Wasey, VC of Jodhpur University and others.
In his presidential address, Mr. Hamid Ansari said that there is a difference in saying and doing. There are many ways but the destination is one which is Indianism. It is described in this book.
Mr. Farooq Abdullah told that so long as we do not sacrifice our ego, we won’t be able to make India the country of our dreams. India belongs to all of us.
No one should be afraid of anyone. We should talk eye to eye. Kashmir was never a part of Pakistan and never will it be in the future. Govt. of India should change its attitude.
Mr. Sanjay Singh told that there is a greater need for unity today. He pointed out that the politics of today has reached such a low level that when a rape case is reported, people ask the religion of the victim. An eight year old girl was raped in Kathua. Three ministers supported the accused which is very shameful.
Mr. Shahid Mehdi told that Mr. Adeeb is a perfect gentleman. Mr. Najeeb Jung termed the book a document which the younger generation should read.
Mr. Salman Khursheed highlighted the need for the community to get united and take up the developmental work calmly for the community.
Prof. Akhtarul Wasey told that one can differ from Mr. Adeeb but can’t neglect him.
Mr. Adeeb told that he does not want to die in a Hindu State. It is the time for protecting the country.
Ms. Talat Adeeb proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the function.
