Hyderabad: Chairman of Telangana Joint Action Committee, Prof. Kodandaram told that it is essential that we should represent to the Govt. about the rights of senior citizens. He was addressing a meeting organized by Telangana Federation of Senior Citizens’ Organization held at Press Club, Basheer Bagh, yesterday.
He advised the senior citizens to make representations to the Govt. about their rights. He told them that any movement meets with success only after continuous struggle. He told that local committees should be constituted consisting of old citizens. He said that senior citizens are a valuable asset of the State. The votes of the senior citizens are very important in the GHMC elections. There are more than 8 lakh senior citizens in the city. On this occasion he released the New Year Diary of the association.
