The basic reason for the Muslims to be firm on their faith despite going astray from Islam is their love and affection for Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). In spite of going away from the religion, the Muslims are secure under the umbrella of Islam.
Maulana Khaleel Ahmed, Director of Jamia Nizamia while addressing a protest meeting organized by Siasat Urdu Daily highlighted the destiny of those who indulged in blasphemy against the prophet (PBUH) of Islam. Maulana Khaleel Ahmed told that during the first forty years of the life of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) everyone recognized his greatness but when he declared his prophet hood and presented the true religion, everybody turned his face from him. Maulana Khaleel Ahmed told that infidel has a right to live with infidelity and the one who worships other than God can survive with it but a person who indulges in blasphemy against the Prophet (PBUH) of Islam has no right to live.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor, Siasat supervised the seminar. Present on this occasion were Prof. Mohammed Mustafa Shareef, Prof. Syed Badiuddin Saberi, Dr. Syed Aleem Ashraf Jayesi, Prof. Mahjabeen Akhtar and Prof. Syed Jehangir.
Maulana Khaleel Ahmed told that the publication of blasphemous matter is not a new thing. Reacting on such incidents, Maulana Khaleel Ahmed told that the enemies of Islam are making attempts to keep the Muslims away from Islam and they have succeeded in their attempts to some extent. The enemies of Islam are worried that despite the Muslim going astray from their religion why don’t they abandon their faith. When they realized that the association of the Muslims with Islam is unstinted because of their love and affection towards Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), they started their attempts of blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) to belittle his greatness but the enemies of Islam are unaware of the fact that the character and grandeur of Prophet (PBUH) or any other prophet can’t be targeted.
The reason is that when Allah (SWT) created any prophet in any community, He built his character and greatness as a perfect model and then presented him before his community.
By reviewing such incidents, only the action taken by the second caliph of Islam, Hazrath Omer (RA), he gave the details of this incident. He said that when a hypocrite Jew appeared before Hazrath Omer and told him that Prophet Mohammed has taken a decision. Despite this, he insisted that Hazrath Omer should decide the matter. Then, Hazrath Omer didn’t ask anything more. He simply took out his sword and beheaded him straight away.
By that time, no punishment was ordained either by the Quran or hadith but it was the wisdom of a staunch Muslim, which took a decision to behead a blasphemous hypocrite.
He emphasized the need for firmness and prolonged struggle for it. It is not possible to eradicate this evil with the timely zeal.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that the protest, which was started in the Muslim countries, is spreading in every part of the world.
He said that the forces hostile to Islam are worried about the non-Muslims’ study of Islam and its faster spread throughout the world. He told that the Mulisms can’t tolerate any kind of blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Mr. Zahid Ali Khan further said that America wants its domination on Islamic world and with this objective; it is making an attempt to create chaos among the Muslims to weaken their strength. He said that in the event of the Muslims getting weaker, its direct advantage would be for the forces hostile to Islam. He advised the Muslims not to fall prey to such conspiracies and not to react but to contest being in their full senses.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that the blasphemous film has created panic in the entire world. Meetings are being held everywhere. It is imperative for the Muslims to present themselves in a better way by exhibiting their good character.
He further told that the next century would be of the Muslims because the largest population of the world consists of the Muslims.
The forces hostile to Islam are worried about it and they are trying to tarnish the image of Islam. They will have to meet with failure only in their attempts.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Badiuddin Saberi told that Allah (SWT) has elevated Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) to such a height that it can’t even be conceived. The blasphemy of the miscreants can’t reach that height. He pointed out that there are many punishments ordained for those who indulge in blasphemy against the Prophet (PBUH).
Quoting the famous Islamic jurist, Ibn-e-Taimiyah, he said that Allah (SWT) had given the discretion of pardoning the miscreants only to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). He pointed out that at the time of the conquest of Makka, everybody was pardoned but not those who were indulged in blasphemy against the Prophet (PBUH). Citing the precedent of Chosroes (of Rome), he said that his son killed him. He told Allah (SWT) and his Prophet know who is their affectionate and who is indulging in blasphemy against them.
Dr. Syed Aleem Ashraf Jayesi in his address told that all those who acquired the title of George are blasphemous because they indulge in blasphemy knowingly. Their heinous end is certain but some people are turning blasphemous by observing the acts of the Muslims. He told that Allah (SWT) is enough to punish the blasphemous persons. He said that the purpose of such programme is to protect our faith.
Dr. Aleem Ashraf told that although Chosroes didn’t accept the invitation of the Prophet (PBUH) for embracing Islam but he honored the Prophet(PBUH) due to which his kingdom continued with his successors but he was killed by his son since he had indulged himself in the blasphemy of the Prophet(PBUH)
For the present state of affairs, he blamed the Muslims that they have forgotten their obligation of ‘Dawath’ (Invitation to Islam) and Tabligh (Preaching of Islam) due to which such blasphemies are taking place. Dr. Ashraf warned that in reacting to such things, we should keep in mind Shariat and should be very careful.
Prof. Mustafa Shareef told that such blasphemies are the starting points for a psychological war against the Muslims. He pointed out that Allah (SWT) addressed the believers by saying that they should honor the Prophet (PBUH). He advised the Muslims to be in their senses while combatting this psychological war.
Prof. Syed Jehangir told that there is no limit of honoring the Prophet (PBUH). History is full of destiny of those who indulged in blasphemy against the Prophet (PBUH). Despite it, attempts are being made to indulge in blasphemy against the Prophet.
Dr. Mahjabeen Akhtar in her address desired the Muslims to act upon the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH). She told that in order to respond to such attempts, we should make use of films, Internet and other means of communication. Dr. Sayed Shujauddin Aziz conducted the meeting. Qariu Mohammed Abdulk Qaiyum Shakir recited the verses from the Quran. Mr. Syed Shamsuddin Quadri presented Naath-e-Shareef on this occasion.
