(Siasat News) Three decades back there used to be common struggle for the development of Urdu. Delegations used to make representations for promoting Urdu. Today there is lack of such zeal and Urdu has reached a stage where it is surviving on oxygen. There is a strong need for launching a sincere and decisive movement for the development of Urdu.
These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Syed Vicaruddin Quadri, Chief Editor of Rahnuma-e-Deccan, Urdu Daily on the occasion on delivery presidential address for the prize distribution function of Tahafuz-e-Urdu organization. The function was organize by Mr. Arifuddin Ahmed, President of the Organization “Tahafuz-e-Urdu” at Abul Kalam Azad Oriental Research Institute, Public Garden on 3rd March. Mr. Arifuddin Ahmed, President of the Association presented welcomed address in which introduce the guests. Mr. Mohammed Osman and Mr. Mohammed Asad Ali welcomed the guests. Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed, MLC, Mr. Kazim Ali Khan, President of Ambedkar National Congress, Dr. Kavita Prasad, Director of Dept. of Cultural Affairs, Dr. Raheem Ramish and others address the gathering. Earlier the girls of Safdaria Girls High School recite Quranic verses. The meeting began with noted Ghazal singer Mr. Mohammed Ruknuddins’ Hamd.
