(Siasat News) Telangana activists of 1969 paid reach tributes to Nawab Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, Nizam-VI on the occasion of his 119th death anniversary by offering floral wreaths on his grave at Makka Masjid. Captain Pandu Rangareddy told on this occasion that there is a need for the restoration of the status of Urdu in Osmania University and to erect memorials of the founders of Hyderabad city in order to create an awareness among the younger generation about the Qutub Shahi and Asif Jahi rulers. He told that Asif Jahi rulers have made Hyderabad beautiful. Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, established Osmania University which was the first university of Urdu medium education. Andhra rulers removed Urdu from the logo of Osmania University itself. He told that he would continue to struggle for the installation of the statues of Nizam-VI and Nizam-VII in Osmania University. Present on this occasion were Mr. K.M. Arifuddin, Secretary of Madina Education Society, Mr. M. Veda Kumar, President of Telangana Resource Centre, Ms. Anuradha Reddy, (INTACH) and others.
