Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has stressed the need for developing the existing 32 airports in the country, which are inactive.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Ashok Gajapathi Raju said the Federal Aviation of America has accorded No. 1 category to Indian Airlines Security, which was in the second category earlier.
Expressing happiness over the new ranking, the Union Minister said he would examine the possibilities of establishing an Airport at Kothagudem in Telangana State only after receiving a favorable report. (NSS)
