People from the Northeast, who fled the city last month, fearing for their life after threatening SMS, were gradually returning. According to sources here today, most of the employers have come forward to take them back treating their absence as paid leave. To meet the extra rush, Railways were running special trains. from Guwahati and people were coming back as the situation had completely returned to normal, according to Norheast Forum. A majority of those who left the city were employed as security guards in IT companies located in Cyberabadd here. There were an estimated 40,000 people from the Northeast living in the state capital with a majority of them from Assam . In the wake of SMS threats and rumours, police and authorities acted swiftly to allay their fears by assuring them of adequate security. UNI
