Lonavala, March 14: Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party is planning to set up a leadership development institute.
A set of resolutions, termed as “Karla Declarations” which the party adopted at the end of its national conclave at Karla, near here, says that party will establish an “NCP’s National Institute For Leadership Development”.
At this institute, “the party will endeavour to provide training to all its members and to all others who would be interested in becoming better responsible and empowered citizens of tomorrow”, it said.
BJP already has such institution, Rambhau Mhalgi Academy, set up by its late leader Pramod Mahajan.
Among other things, NCP today said that it’s new slogan will be “farmer president, farmers’ party”.
“This is our new slogan,” said NCP spokesperson D P Tripathi at a press conference at the end of National Conclave.
