NCP MLA’s supporters ransack State Bank of Hyderabad branch

A local branch of State Bank of Hyderabad was ransacked and two employees beaten up by the supporters of Ashti MLA Suresh Dhas today after he was allegedly threatened by a security guard with gun. The NCP MLA had gone to the bank along with some farmers who had applied for a loan when he had a heated exchange with Branch Manager B M Thigle. When Dhas came out of his cabin, security guard of the bank Rajenda Bhosle allegedly threatened him with his gun. They had a scuffle and the MLA suffered minor injuries, said sources. When supporters of the MLA came to know about the incident, they ransacked the office and beat up two employees. Branch Manager Thigle said that MLA Dhas and his supporters wanted to know the status of loan applications made by farmers and they were told that the approvals w yet to be received from the main branch. When asked about the allegation of the guard threatening the MLA with his gun, the manager said there was some misunderstanding as the guard knew the MLA well. He said the branch was ransacked and an FIR would be lodged. But Potoda police said no case was yet registered. PTI
