Mumbai, February 26: NCP MLA from Pachora (Jalgaon) Dilip Omkar Wagh has been booked for raping a woman at a government rest house in Nashik.
Wagh and his personal assistant Mahesh Mali had stayed overnight at the ‘Sinhagad’ building at Golf Club, Nashik, on Monday. The complaint filed by a 20-year-old woman with Sarkarwada police says she was called by the MLA on the pretext of finding her a job. The complaint was filed the complaint on Tuesday, but the police registered it only last night.
Wagh, 45, was the municipal council president in Pachora for six terms before he was elected an MLA in 2009.
NCP state spokesperson Prakash Binsale said the law would take its own course.
