NBW ON UMESH KUMAR STAYED BY HIGH COURT

The A.P. High Court has stayed the non-bail able warrant issued by a trial
court on senior IPS Officer Umesh Kumar. The Court has directed the officer to surrender before the
trial court by June 25. The Officer is facing charges of forging the signature of a Parliament member to
make a complaint against the DGP Dinesh Reddy.

The senior IPS officer has been untraceable when police went to arrest him on the NBW issued
by the trial court. The officer has earlier urged the court to give exemption to personal appearance in
view of the life threat he has faced as he worked in the anti-naxal Grey Hounds Force. (NSS)
