A sessions court here on Friday issued a non-bailable warrant against actor-turned-model Poonam Pandey, for an obscene performance on the eve of new year on December 31 in Bangalore .
The court directed the police to produce her before the court on January 12 after hearing a petition filed by advocate Umesh.
The actor’s performance was obscene and hurt the sentiments of the Hindus. She held the picture of the Hindu Gods and posed obscenely while performing a dance .Umesh argued in his petition .
The judge issued a non-bailable warrant against Poonam and directed the police to produce her before the court. She stayed in Bangalore for some time. Staying in the City and not appearing before the court is a violation of the law, he argued.
