Hyderabad: Slain gangster Nayeem’s wife and his four associates were arrested for selling benami properties and seized a cash of Rs 88.37 lakh, three four-wheelers from their possession.
The sleuths of SOT Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, along with Bhongir Town police, arrested Nayeem’s wife Hasina Begum and his henchmen Pasham Srinivas, Md Adbul Nazer, Md. Abdul Faheem and Thumma Srinivas for selling the illegally acquired properties and accruing huge money by executing sale deeds and seized net cash of Rs 88,37,000.
Slain gangster had acquired several houses and commercial complexes, open lands as he used to go to any extent to grab anything whether it is a piece of land or fixed property that attracts him. The SIT police, who have segregated the documents seized from the residence of Nayeem and his family members and associates found that the properties were grabbed from people forcibly are registered on benami names.
Pasham Srinivas was arrested by SIT after the encounter of Nayeem. He was involved in 182 cases, was detained under PD Act and was in jail for about two years. During the period when Nayeem was alive, Pasham Srinivas has acted as his agent as well as the courier. He used to give information to Nayeem about the lands, disputed buildings and wealthy persons. Nayeem, in turn, indulged in kidnap, murder, and threatening of the concerned persons and used to forcefully got registered the properties on his benamies. Recently Pasham Srinivas, who was released from the jail, started moving in the Bhongir town.
The henchmen of Nayeem have conspired and presented documents for Registration with the collusion of Sub-Registrar, in respect of the Land admeasuring five acres in Sy No 730 which was illegally occupied by Nayeem and his followers during his lifetime. After the death of Nayeem in the year 2016, Nayeem’s associates and his family members through Nayeem’s benami Thumma Srinivas got executed a sale deeds in Sub–Registrar office Bhongir in respect of land admeasuring 5 acres in Sy No 730 situated at Bhongir Town vide Document PR Nos. 26/2019 and 27/2019 and received Rs.89 lakh from Mandapally Venkateshwar Rao and distributed among them.
Acting on a tip-off, the SIT sleuths and Bhongir police apprehended the accused on March 10 and recorded their confession and seized property mentioned against their names and handed over to Bhongir Town police along with seized material for further proceedings in 51 cases of various police stations which are under pending trial.
