Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Thursday announced that the State Government would modernisation all police stations across Telangana State, especially those located in Hyderabad.
Speaking after inaugurating the new building of Musheerabad Police Station here, the Home Minister said several measures were being taken to make Hyderabad a crime-free city. He said that better performance of police would boost the image of State Government among the people. Therefore, he said that the government prioritised the modernisation of police force.
The Home Minister said that the state government was providing Rs. 75,000 to each police station in the city, Rs. 50,000 in municipalities and Rs. 25,000 in rural areas for maintenance and other basic expenses like stationary. He advised police personnel to maintain better relationship with the people. He also asked the people to cooperate with the police in controlling crime. (INN)
