Naxals target Rajdhani in Gaya, no casualties

A major disaster was averted after a pilot engine detected a damaged railway track near Gaya in Bihar just hours before a Rajdhani train was to pass though that area. Maoists had allegedly blown up the track last night.

Terming the incident as unfortunate, Rail Minister Sadananda Gowda, said, “Fortunately no casualty reported, safety has been taken as a priority.”

Arunendra Kumar,Chairman,Railway Board said, “The patrol train was run ahead of Rajdhani as precaution to the bandh called by Maoists.”
