DGP of A.P., Mr. B. Prasad Rao told the newsmen yesterday that State Police is taking into consideration all the aspects of maintaining Law and Order. He expressed the view that the activities of Naxalites might increase in case A.P. State is divided. It is not difficult for Maoists to enter the borders of A.P. He also expressed his apprehension that communal riots may also occur in the State. In such a case an effective mechanism to control the situation is very essential. He informed that two commandos units of Grey Hounds will be setup in Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam. He told that corporate companies to cooperate with police to ensure security of women employees. He hinted at introducing a new system and special number plates on cab vehicles. Police will also take appropriate measures to monitor the speed of the vehicles. A campaign will be lodged against the drivers who drive vehicles in drunken condition. Stern action will be taken at entry and exit points. About Mahboob Nagar Bus accident, he told that the investigation has been entrusted to CID.
He also expressed his apprehension that Maoists are strengthening their force in Chhattisgarh, Odisha , Bihar, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
