Naxalism is biggest threat to internal security: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Singh has said that left-wing extremism is the biggest threat to internal security and democracy to the country while underscoring the need for chalk out an effective development plan, comprehensive dialogue, besides creating an atmosphere of trust to combat the Naxalism. Addressing a gathering while releasing a book on Naxalism here last night, the Chief Minister termed the Naxalite violence a conspiracy to destabilise the nation and weaken the national economy. “Many writers have little idea about Naxalism and are not in touch with the ground reality in affected areas,” he said. The book titled “Kyun Jaun Bastar Marne?” (Why should I go to Bastar to get killed), penned by senior journalist Anil Pusadkar. BJP MP Tarun Vijay appealed to the Naxals to shun violence, while hailing the BJP regime for having shown the path to others to get united against Maoist violence. UNI
