New Delhi: Two security personnel and a national broadcaster are reported to have been killed today after Naxals attacked in Chhattisgarh’s Aranpur region in Dantewada.
According to news agency ANI, the Naxals attacked national broadcaster Doordarshan TV crew during election coverage.
Earlier on Saturday, four jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed after Naxals blew up a bunker vehicle in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.
The poll-bound Chhattisgarh is seeing several Naxal attacks in the past week with a BJP leader too critically injured on Sunday after he was attacked by Naxals in Dantewada district.
The first phase in Chhattisgarh is scheduled to be held on November 12 which shall cover at least 18 constituencies across eight Naxal-affected districts namely Bastar, Kanker Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, and Rajnandgaon.
The second phase covering remaining 72 constituencies will go to polls on November 20, Statesman reports.
