NEW DELHI: Punjab Congress minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday appealed Muslims to vote in unison in order to oust the Modi government.
While addressing a rally at Katiar in Bihar, Sidhu said, “Main aapko chetavni dena aya hun Muslim bhaiyon,ye baant rahe hain aapko,ye yahan Owaisi jaise logon ko la ke,ek nai party sath mein khadi kar aap logon ki vote baant ke jitna chahte hain.Agar tum log ikkathe hue,ek jut hoke vote dala toh Modi sulat jaega,” Sidhu said to Muslims.

He also targeted Asaduddin Owaisi for seeking Muslim votes. Addresing a public rally in Purnia, he said, “Muslim brother, people like Owaisi want to win by dividing the Muslim vote here. 64% is your (Muslim) population is in majority here and if you will get together and cast your votes, then Modi will be finished,” said Sidhu.
Top leaders like BSP supremo Mayawati, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, SP leader Azam Khan and Union Minister Maneka Gandhi coming under the radar of the Election Commission for seeking votes on religious terms and polarising speeches.
