Melbourne, Aug. 10 : Natlie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell in the hit HBO drama ‘ Game of Thrones,’ has now come up in its defense for presenting sex in a real and dirty manner.
Backing up the fantasy show, which is based on George R. R. Martin’s work, for not glamourising sex like other programs, the 33-year-old actress said that sex and romance was a huge part of human motivation and as long as it’s informing the story there shouldn’t be a problem, reported News.com.au.
She added that no-one likes gratuitous sex or gratuitous misogyny, and similarly they should not like gratuitous violence but she thinks that the HBO series has been quite good and the violence shown in it was quite naturalistic not hyper-stylised.
Dormer, who is starring in a new BBC period drama about a Georgian sex scandal ‘The Scandalous Lady W,’ further said that she had never felt pressurised into sex scenes by a script. (ANI)
