In tune with GITAM University’s vision – ‘to become a global leader in higher education’, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Hyderabad campus, organized a 2-day national workshop on “WIRELESS AD-HOC NETWORKS” on May 3 and 4. The workshop provides valuable insights & also vital hands on experience on how ad-hoc networks function with the help of an NS-2 Simulator.
Prof Ch. Sanjay, Director, GITAM University, reiterated that workshops like these would help people gain valuable knowledge about how a wireless ad-hoc network performs and add a step to highlight the use of these ever developing networks. He was immensely pleased by the way the Department organized the workshop by maintaining good standards & reaching expectations.
Dr. S. Phani Kumar, Professor, Hod-CSE who has been the person behind the success of this workshop further elaborated the theme, mentioning how one could benefit from basic to advanced level by gaining hands-on experience of this emerging trend of ad-hoc networks and its integration with all existing IT platforms. He also mentioned that these 2-days will provide dexterous insights in the world of networking.
The workshop has generated immense interest among the participant Research Aspirants and PG Students.(NSS)
