Various functions are held to honour and commemorate the gallantry deads performed by many freedom fighters. Postal department issues commemorative postal stamps to honour them. Govt. buildings are named after various freedom fighters.
In our city of Hyderabad also there are many roads and institutions named after them. For example, National Police Academy of Hyderabad has been named after Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel of Gujarat who was the first home minister of free India.
Express way from Mehdipatnam to Araam Ghar has been named after our former Prime Minister Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao. Captain Panduranga Reddy says that at least police headquarters of Petla Bridge could be named after Turrebaz Khan. Govt. should also institute an award in his name to be given to persons who promote national integrations.
It is the responsibility of the Muslim institutions to publish his life and deeds in a book form so that the younger generation could know the brave deeds of its ancestors.
Mr. Turrebaz Khan was bron in Beugm Bazar. Janab Bahadur Yaar Jung, former president of MIM was also born in Begum Bazar locality.
