National Pension System Service Week begins, aims to help 95 lakh subscribers

New Delhi: The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) is observing National Pension System Service Week from today to attract more subscribers towards government pension plans.

The week-long campaign is being dedicated to service-orientation towards the subscribers and aimed at awareness building and improved information dissemination. The Finance Ministry has said that the campaign has been launched to mark the completion of two years of statutory status of PFRDA.

The Ministry also said that during the week, the PFRDA will create awareness about the scheme, make efforts to reduce subscribers’ grievances, update subscriber details and advise subscribers regarding benefits associated with Permanent Retirement Account among others.

This exercise is likely to help around 95 lakh subscribers and would be available through more than two lakh points of interface comprising of government offices, banks, non-bank Points of Presence and aggregators. (ANI)
