National anthem a ‘must’ in madrasas, HC backs Yogi govt’s order

New Delhi: Allahabad High Court on Wednesday backed up Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government’s order to sing the national anthem in Madrasas.

The court’s ruling said that everyone should respect the national anthem and the national flag. Adding that it is a mandate for every madrasa to sing the national anthem, according to a report by India Today.

Allahabad HC has also rejected the plea seeking an exemption for Madrasas in Uttar Pradesh from singing the national anthem.

Yogi government on the occasion of Independence Day had passed an order demanding national anthem and flag hoisting a mandate in madrasas.
