London: Nasser Hussain, former England Cricket team Captain, has set a new Guinness World Record or the highest catch of a cricket ball from 150ft. He made no mistake and plucked the record catch out of the air on his first attempt. Dropped from a ‘Batcam’ drone above Lord’s Cricket Ground, Hussain had three attempts to catch the ball from a minimum 100ft drop and plummeting towards him at estimated speeds of 74 miles per hour.
After setting a record, Hussain said “Sky Sports are always looking to push the limits and be innovative in their approach to coverage, and this was certainly a very different experience for me. It was great fun attempting to catch cricket balls dropped from a drone at the home of cricket – something I never thought I would do. But I am now looking forward to giving my hands a rest and getting back to the commentary box for the upcoming Test match.”
