Nasrallah, Jumblatt discuss new cabinet

Gaza, March 30: Leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has discussed the new cabinet with the chief of the country’s Progressive Socialist Party.

In a meeting with Walid Jumblatt in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut, Nasrallah also talked about the ways for strengthening relations between Hezbollah and the Progressive Socialist Party.

Nasrallah and Jumblatt on Monday talked about Arab World’s latest developments.

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s government collapsed due to a dispute over the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, which is investigating the 2005 assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, who was killed in a bombing incident in Beirut.

On January 25, Lebanese President Michel Sleiman issued a decree appointing Hezbollah-backed candidate Najib Mikati as the country’s new prime minister following the collapse of Hariri’s government.

In the vote to approve Mikati as prime minister, he received 68 votes in the 128-seat parliament.
