Ingredients
For the Kofta
Mutton minced (kheema)- 250gms
Small onion -1, finely chopped
Ginger paste- 1 tsp
Garlic paste-1 tsp
Green chillies- 3, chopped
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Maida ( plain flour ) / rice flour- 2 tbsp
Egg- 1
Boiled eggs-3
Salt- to taste
Oil- for frying
For the gravy
Tomatoes- 3, large in size
Ginger paste-1 tsp
Garlic paste-1 tsp
Raw onion paste-2 tbsp
Turmeric- powder-1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder-1 tsp
Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
Wwhipped yogurt-5 tbsp
Oil-2 tbsp
Water-1 cup
Salt to taste
Coriander for garnish
Method
In a saucepan add water and salt and boil eggs for 6-7 minutes. Keep the boiled eggs aside to cool.
In a large bowl, add washed minced meat, chopped chillies, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, garam masala, salt, whipped egg & refined flour and mix them together.
Peel the eggs once cooled down.
Heat oil in pan. Take some kofta mixture and cover the eggs with it. Dab the kofta mixture covered eggs in the refined flour.
Now, give an egg wash to them and then fry in the heated oil on low flame until they turn golden brown.
Place the koftas on tissue paper to get rid of excess oil
For gravy, take some oil in a pan and then add onion puree, tomato puree, ginger garlic paste and allow the tomatoes cook for sometime.
Now, add whipped curd, salt, garam masala, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix it properly and allow it to cook.
Add the fried koftas to the gravy with a cup full of water and garnish it with coriander.
Delicious Nargisi Kofta are ready to be served!
