The CBI special court, Nampally on Thursday reserved its decision on the CBI petition seeking permission to conduct Narco test on both YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his auditor Vijay Sai
Reddy to July 16.
The special court reserved its orders after hearing of arguments and counter arguments. The counsels of Jagan Mohan Reddy and Vijay Sai Reddy raised serious objection for conducting Narco test on their clients.
Earlier, the CBI sought permission to subject both Jagan and Vijay Sai Reddy to Narco and other tests. The CBI counsel charged that Jagan was not at all cooperative and reluctant to reveal anything despite persistent questioning about his assets.
CBI counsel argued that Jagan was cleverly derailing the process of investigation by saying that it was Vijay Sai Reddy who “is in the know of most of the transactions, documents and information.”
However, Jagan’s counsel Ashok Reddy objected to the plea of the CBI arguing that filing such a petition was strange in view of Supreme Court’s ruling that these tests are illegal and violation of legal rights of their clients. (INN)
