Narayanguda Police register fraud case against YMCA Office-Bearers

On the direction of IX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad, the Narayanguda Police on Friday registered an FIR under Sections 191, 192, 196, 199, 203, 418, 420, 467, 471, 34 of Indian Penal Code and under Section 156(3) Cr.PC against president, Board members and former Secunderabad secretary of Young Men Christian Association for misappropriation of funds and criminal breach of trust.

Following a complaint submitted by one M J David, full member of YMCA that the accused president and board members collided with former secretary Manikumar and misappropriated huge amounts and committed fraud, the IX ACMM directed the Narayanguda police to investigate into the allegations and bring the culprits to book. The complainant alleged that CHRP Mani Kumar worked as senior secretary in Secunderabad YMCA from 2006 to 2012. During his tenure, he mismanaged and misappropriated Rs 50 lakh with which he constructed a bungalow at Kompally in Ranga Reddy district. He used to illegally let out open ground and halls in Secunderabad YMCA premises to various persons at different rates and used to collect Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 per day towards rent and did not remit the amounts in the YMCA exchequer. Mani Kumar created false receipts and issued the same to the clients.

The office-bearers of the YMCA, i.e. accused No. 1 to 13 were liable and responsible towards the YMCA society as they did not discharge their functions honestly and resorted to over and covert criminal acts and are guilty of omissions and commissions of unlawful and illegal acts. Mani Kumar has been misappropriating the amounts in criminal breach of trust and fabricated records, misused public office and misled public servants like police officials and court.

When TS Kiran Kumar, incharge general secretary filed a complaint with Gopalapuram police which was registered as FIR No 367 of 2012 under Sections 420 and 405 IPC, the board of directors Robert Surya Prakash, Nomen Lssac, Dr Sailos Paul, Prashant Kumar, Dr Ravinder, Christopher Satya Raj, Rev. Sam J Arun Kumar Emanuel Samrajya, NC Das, Raj Kumar, Ajay Came on and Sandeep Solmon have colluded with the accused and passed a resolution illegally to issue a letter to the ACP, Gopalapuram on August 2, 2013 thereby illegally withdrawing the complaint. The police closed the case without any investigation, the complainant stated, adding that accused 1 to 13 are guilty of fabricating evidence, giving false evidence before public servant, i.e. the police and court.
